REVELATION - Behold, I am Coming Soon
Studies in the Book of Revelation
BOOK 7 - YES, I AM COMING SOON! (REVELATION 19:11 - 22-21)
PART 7.6 - THE NEW JERUSALEM: THE BRIDE OF THE LAMB (REVELATION 21:9 - 22:5)

8. The Servants of God Will Serve Him and See His Face (Revelation 22:3-5)

REVELATION 22:3-5
3 There will be no curse any more. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no night, and they need no lamp light; for the Lord God will illuminate them. They will reign forever and ever.

The Throne of God and of the Lamb in the Middle of the City: John repeats the cultic-theological sensation of the revelation and specifies it: the throne of God and of His Lamb is standing in the midst of the city (Revelation 22:3). Whenever the Book of Revelation reads of the “Lamb of God", then the apostle wants to tell us, “No one comes to the Father except through the slain Lamb!” The Lamb is the only way to God, the true right and the inexhaustible source of the eternal life (John 14:6). “To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood ... to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.” (Revelation 1:5-6). Thus, the Book of Revelation returns to its beginning. The witness of the blood of the Lamb goes throughout all visions up to the glorious end. And twenty nine times it is written of the Lamb in the twenty two chapters of the Book of Revelation, and fife times of His Blood (1:5; 5:9; 7:14; 12:11; 19:13). Nobody, no Jew, no Muslim, no Hindu, no Buddhist or whoever he may be, is allowed to enter the throne of God except through the blood of the holy Lamb, which has been slain in place of all sinners. (Matthew 26:28; Luke 22:20; John 6:53-55; 19:34; Acts 20:28; Romans 3:25; 5:9; 1 Corinthians 10:16; Ephesians 1:7; 2:13; Colossians 1:20; 1 Peter 1:2.19; 1 John 1:7; Hebrews 9:7.12.14.20.25; 10:19.29; 12:24; 13:12.20; Revelation see above.).

Let us worship the Father and the Son through the Holy Spirit, because all grace and righteousness comes to us solely through the blood of Jesus Christ. “For through him we (Jewish as well as Heathen Christians) both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.” (Ephesians 2:18; see also 3:12; 4:16; and other verses). This mystery is also confirmed by the Book of Revelation. The holy God give access to His glory for the sake of Jesus, so that we may see His righteous love in the interior of his heart.

PRAYER: Humble Father, we worship and honor You because Your meek Lamb Jesus sits with You in Your most exalted throne. His pure blood is our right of everlasting life. Without Him we don't know You, or come near to You. We magnify You because the blood of His atonement allows us to come to You and serve You. Help all the children of Abraham to recognize the meaning of the precious blood of Christ shed for them too and accept Him. Amen.

QUESTION:

  1. Why did faith in Christ's blood become the only way to God?
