1. The Sun of Righteousness Shines on you

Thousands of people nowadays travel to distant countries full of hope and expectation, in search of fortune and success. It is not long before many become frustrated by the realities of a life void of mercy. Increasing pessimism sets in when they realize their limits and failures. They return to their homelands in utter defeat. If you examine the faces of passers-by on the street you discover sometimes empty eyes like burnt-out volcanoes, without hope.

It is possible for them to escape their pains and hardships if they come to the living God and live their lives before Him. The majority of the world’s peoples have forgotten their Creator and are seeking material goals and worldly desires and they live isolated lives.

Man’s departure from God in some countries has reached the point of atheism and forbidding belief in His existence. But the eternal and consoling reality of God always appears in His creation. For example, in communist countries the government requires teachers to teach their students a program, which denies the very existence of God. Using modern scientific methods, they seek to erase from the mind and awareness of the child any belief in God. They claim that the world consists only of matter and that man has no spirit or soul. Also, that there is no life after death and belief in such is mere imagination.

However, one day a girl asked her teacher: Why do you strive and speak against God as if He has no existence? Since the name “God” exists in our language, it follows that there must indeed be such a person. The youngster had hardly finished speaking when the teacher slapped her face. He then hurried to inform the administration of what had happened. They decided to send this child to a strict atheistic boarding school, so that there she would learn to deny her faith. This girl’s mother was a widow and a believer, so she started to pray and cry out to God. Rushing to the various departments she tried to save her daughter from this atheistic school. Finally, she fled with her to the mountains, to a faraway place, where there were still some traces of freedom amidst the wilderness and the mountains. Here the light of God’s knowledge was not extinguished and faith in His existence was upheld. The little girl found friends who also believed in a Creator God. As her knowledge of the merciful and living God increased and her trust in God as the solid foundation of her faith grew, she no longer felt lost and aimless. She had found the world’s Light and was able to reflect Him in her neighborhood.

Dear reader, we do not know your situation. However, if worries assail you or darkness surrounds you, come to God who is the Light of the world. He is waiting with open arms to embrace you and give your life a new meaning. Think about the following explanations so your mind will be illuminated and you will gain a living hope for your future.
